Designing on photoshop using my paintings and line drawings.

I visited the Victoria and Albert museum and seen these interesting vases, I really liked the shape of these vases so I decided that I wanted to combine something else with my flower theme. I've done these painting of vases by using inks and gouache paints as I wanted a different look from my previous work. These painting have also been influenced by the work of Cate Edwards as I've worked in the similar style.  

Cate Edward has a really interesting illustrative painting style. Cate Edward tells stories through her painting which looks very unique and interesting. I am going to try exploring the similar style within my painting and drawings. I also love the interesting colours used for these painting.  

I've been working with the similar colour palettes as last semester but now I've decided to add some different colour palette in my work. I did some research on WGSN and found this colour palette very interesting.

I really like the way these scarves have been presented, I would like to keep this idea in mind for my final degree show as I would like something similar. The scarves have very interesting boarders and edges which I find really interesting.

I visited the Bolton museum and seen their pressed flowers collection. I find the detail of these flowers really interesting and would love to draw from these.  

I find these large scale flowers very interesting on these tops. I would also like to paint some large scale flowers which I can then develop in to surface pattern for fashion. The pattern placement has been done really well an look really eye catching.

I find the drawing style very interesting on these prints. The detailed line drawings have a really interesting effect on the fabric.

I've researched a few trends from the pattern bank website. I found these trends interesting and wanted to explore these further. I find the bright colours very eye catching and the style of flowers. This Botanical S/S 15 trend is also something I want to tap in to. I love the botanical flower drawings and would really like to explore this style.

I've looked at Gillian Griffiths work. I find the painting style very inspirational. Theres alot of detaile in the paintings which creates this intersting effects and makes the flowers look 3d. I would like to try the similler style in my paintings too and see if it works. Gillian Griffiths used watercolour paints to paint botanical flowers.

From the past few week I've been very busy researching to gain more inspiration, experimenting with different medias and drawing/painting. I've visited different museums, galleries and florists to gain  primary research. I've also done some market research to get an inside of the fashion/accessories market for my chosen product areas. I am still drawing and painting from my research so I get some good quality drawings and paintings which can then go in to design.

I visited the Manchester art gallery and looked at this exhibtion of Dutch flower painting which I found very intersting and wanted to re create the style but using my drawings. I like the colours used in these painting as there very eye catching.
